Tank Allocation and Infrastructure
Our tank farm is carefully segmented to accommodate various product streams, including crude oil, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, marine fuels, and blending components. We maintain dedicated tanks for each product type to prevent contamination and allow for efficient inventory management. The infrastructure includes both fixed-roof and floating-roof storage systems, with integrated vapor recovery and inert gas systems for pressure and emissions control. All tanks are supported by secondary containment zones, spill prevention systems, and continuous level monitoring. These systems ensure not only product integrity but also environmental and operational safety across the terminal.
Kaztransaziya Refinery operates a high-capacity petroleum storage terminal with the ability to hold up to 500,000 barrels of crude oil and refined petroleum products. This scale of capacity positions the terminal as a critical logistical asset within the region’s energy infrastructure, enabling efficient management of refinery throughput, product distribution, and strategic reserves. The terminal is designed to support continuous, high-volume operations while maintaining full compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control standards.

Logistics and Connectivity
Kaztransaziya’s storage terminal is directly connected to the refinery and integrated into the national energy transportation grid. The facility includes pipeline connectivity to key inland markets and export routes, as well as on–site rail infrastructure capable of handling more than 60 tanker wagons daily. We also operate automated truck loading bays for flexible product distribution by road, enabling fast turnaround for regional deliveries. If marine access is part of the facility, the terminal is equipped with jetty infrastructure for efficient barge or vessel loading, supporting both riverine and sea-bound trade. This multi-modal connectivity ensures that products can be moved swiftly and reliably from production to end users or export terminals.
Kaztransaziya’s terminal can store up to 500,000 barrels of petroleum products at any given time. This includes dedicated capacity for crude oil, refined fuels, marine fuel, and blending components. The volume allows the refinery to buffer fluctuations in production
We maintain 200,000 barrels of storage exclusively for crude oil, enabling stable refinery feedstock supply even during supply chain disruptions. Crude is stored in insulated, vapor-controlled tanks to maintain quality and reduce evaporative losses, with direct pipeline feed to the refining units.
Our refined product tanks—dedicated to gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and kerosene—hold up to 250,000 barrels. These tanks are configured for rapid dispatch and high turnover, allowing products to move quickly to rail, road, or export terminals while maintaining fuel quality and safety.
Product Handling and Services
The terminal is equipped to store and manage a full range of hydrocarbon products and fuel types, including crude oil, refined distillates, LPG, and customized fuel blends. In addition to bulk storage, we offer a suite of terminal services that include inventory tracking, real-time volume reporting, dispatch coordination, and additive injection for fuel conditioning or regulatory compliance. Our systems allow for seamless blending, enabling us to tailor product specifications for seasonal, geographic, or client-specific needs. We also offer tank leasing and third-party storage services, making our terminal a reliable hub for energy traders, fuel distributors, and national supply agencies looking to store, transit, or re-export petroleum products.
